Our Vision - Sustainability   Modern society has an insatiable appetite for energy and resources, which cannot be satisfied long term without the establishment of alternative energy sources and technologies. The traditional sources of energy not only deplete the planets natural resources but also damage the environment at every stage of their use. Many renewable technologies are required to jointly combat the three major energy challenges of today: •  Energy Security – reducing reliance on imported oil and gas.   •  Energy Gap – increasing demand will outstrip generated supply as old plants are decommissioned.   •  Climate Change – reducing carbon emissions in line with EU targets. The GEM technology can provide a sustainable low carbon solution by utilising local resources to meet local requirements. By utilising waste products as fuel, GEM can create clean renewable energy or fuel, as well as providing an effective solution for the problem of waste treatment and disposal.
